{Flower} Purse Pin
I love flowers! They are so beautiful, smell good and it's what my name means. So I'm always thinking of different ways to do something with this wonderful creation. I made this Purse Pin for my mom's purse. Now I just have to make one for me.
-Cut out 3 circles from each color of fabric. (Dark fabric=3 1/2", med=3", lt=2 3/4") You could do a monochromatic look where they are all the same color just different shades. That would be pretty.
-On the fabric, trace around the 1/4" washer.
-Cut slits from outside edge to inside of washer circle. It was easier to cut all the same color at the same time.
-Trace around this washer(for the middle of the flower) and cut out, even the "donut hole".
-Mod podge the fabric circle onto the washer.[Remember to sand the washer so fabric will "stick" better]
-Using an upholstery tack, put it thru the washer then all the layers of fabric. (I turned the fabric over so you couldn't see the pen mark.)
-Cut a 1/4" wide wooden circle from a 1 1/4" dowel.
-Hammer the tack into the wood dowel circle. TIP: Best on the concrete.
-Using the edge of the scissors, ruff up fabric.
-Hot glue on a pin backing to finish it off! Ready to decorate your purse!
